March 31. Gwendolyn surprised me this afternoon with TRIPLETS out of Iceland's leaderram Leifur. (see upper right hand photo). She's an awesome ewe, always lambing unassisted. The grey ewe lamb (below, facing the camera) has an amazingly unusual spotting pattern. There is a white ram and a grey spotted ram also. We are just thrilled with this trio. We are keeping the ewe lamb and the spotted black/grey ram lamb. The white ram is sold.

March 31. Yzabeau delivered a large ram lamb with BIG horn buds, all unassisted! Good girl Yzabeau! He is an AI son of Iceland ram Peli. Now, here's the puzzle, is he black and white spotted or white, just showing that he carries solid??? hmmmm....

At 12 days of age, Pelison weighed 21 lbs! A growth rate of almost 1.25 lbs. per day!
This lamb is so promising that we are planning on keeping him.
April 1. Seraphima delivered a lovely white ewe lamb out of Iceland ram Moli, unassisted. We're very proud of this first time mom, she's doing a great job.
Seraphima is the daughter of our pet ewe, Sarah (who is 11 years old now). Sarah is a leaderewe, a daughter of Blesa. This lamb combines the hardy leadersheep genetics with the superior conformation and fleece lines ouf of her AI sire, Moli.
We are keeping this lamb - and have named her Serena. To see Serena at 6 days old, please click here.
