Well, look who was hiding a recessive spotting gene! Libby surprised me with a black & white spotted ewe lamb (8 lbs.) and a big white ram lamb (10 1/2 lbs.) out of Mjaldurson on April 1st. The ram lamb is reserved and I will be keeping the ewe lamb. |

Agatha did it again - a set twin ewes, one black/grey and one moorit/grey, both 8 lbs. (born April 2nd) What an awesome ewe she is! Their sire is the Pelison. I am keeping the grey moorit ewe and the other ewe is reserved. |

| Another star this season - B.Mae who is only 11 months old, was cleaning off a 6 1/2 lb. ewe lamb this afternoon, when I went to gather eggs. And what a lovely ewe lamb out of Tulison. Then she laid down and delivered a small (3 1/2 lb.) stillborn ram lamb (obviously dead for a while). So another ewe twins this season before her own first birthday. She is an excellent first time mom, very attentive to this new daughter. I am so proud of her! I have to keep this lamb. |

If they're going to grow them big, they better be able to lamb them! Patsy has had her 2nd very large ram lamb in her career. But she did it herself - and an 11 1/2 lb. ram with huge horn buds is not an easy task for any ewe. This ram really has it all - with his sire being the Mjaldurson - he has herd sire potential to contribute meat, fleece, prolificacy, milkiness, fast growth rate... all the things Icelandics are known for. This ram is reserved. |
